पुत्रदा एकादशी का व्रत संतान प्राप्ति के लिए अमोघ है पर इससे संतान की समस्याओं का निवारण भी सरलता से हो जाता है।
व्रतों में सर्वाधिक महत्वपूर्ण व्रत एकादशी का होता है। एकादशी का नियमित व्रत रखने से मन की चंचलता समाप्त होती है। धन और आरोग्य की प्राप्ति होती है इसके अलावा हारमोन की समस्या भी ठीक होती है तथा मनोरोग दूर होते हैं।
वैसे पुत्रदा एकादशी का व्रत संतान प्राप्ति के लिए अमोघ है पर इससे संतान की समस्याओं का निवारण भी सरलता से हो जाता है। इस बार पुत्रदा एकादशी 06 जनवरी को मनाई जायेगी।
क्या हैं इस व्रत को रखने के नियम ?
- यह व्रत दो प्रकार से रखा जाता है- निर्जल व्रत और फलाहारी या जलीय व्रत।
- सामान्यतः निर्जल व्रत पूर्ण रूप से स्वस्थ्य व्यक्ति को ही रखना चाहिए।
- अन्य या सामान्य लोगों को फलाहारी या जलीय उपवास रखना चाहिए।
- संतान सम्बन्धी मनोकामनाओं के लिए इस एकादशी के दिन भगवान् कृष्ण या श्री नारायण की उपासना करनी चाहिए।
संतान की कामना के लिए आज क्या करें ?
- प्रातः काल पति पत्नी संयुक्त रूप से श्री कृष्ण की उपासना करें।
- उन्हें पीले फल, पीले फूल, तुलसी दल और पंचामृत अर्पित करें।
- इसके बाद संतान गोपाल मन्त्र का जाप करें।
- मंत्र जाप के बाद पति पत्नी संयुक्त रूप से प्रसाद ग्रहण करें।
- अगर इस दिन उपवास रखकर प्रक्रियाओं का पालन किया जाय तो ज्यादा अच्छा होगा।
- एकादशी के दिन भगवान् कृष्ण को पंचामृत का भोग लगायें।
- साथ में एक तुलसी की माला भी चढ़ाएं।
- निम्न मंत्र का 108 बार जाप करें- "ॐ कृष्णाय नमः"
- पंचामृत का प्रसाद ग्रहण करें।

पौष महीने की शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी के दिन पुत्रदा एकादशी आती है। हालांकि पुत्रदा एकादशी साल में दो बार आती है। एकादशी का दिन भगवान विष्णु को समर्पित होता है। इस दिन भगवान विष्णु की पूजा की जाती है। साल 2020 में यह एकादशी 6 जनवरी को पड़ रही है। इस एकादशी में भगवान विष्णु के बाल रूप की पूजा की जाती है।
इस एकादशी का पुण्यफल संतान के भाग्य और कर्म को उत्तम बनाने में सहायक माना गया है। जिस किसी भी दंपत्ति को संतान प्राप्ति करने में दिक्कत आती है उसको यह व्रत जरूर करना चाहिए। आइए जानते हैं पुत्रदा एकादशी व्रत के नियम और व्रत कथा।

पुत्रदा एकादशी व्रत के नियम
- एकादशी के दिन प्रातः स्नानादि से निवृत होकर भगवान विष्णु की पूजा करें।
- एकादशी के दिन दीपदान करना शुभ माना जाता है।
- जो व्यक्ति यह व्रत रखता है उसे एकादशी के दिन पूरे दिन निराहार रहना होता है।
- द्वादशी के दिन ब्राह्मण को भोजन करवाकर उनसे आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करने के बाद स्वयं भोजन करें ऐसा नियम है।
- द्वादशी के दिन भी व्रती को सात्विक भोजन करना चाहिए।
- इन नियमों के अनुसार पुत्रदा एकादशी का व्रत करने से व्रत सफल होता है।
ये है पुत्रदा एकादशी की कथा
पहले किसी समय में भद्रावतीपुरी में राजा सुकेतुमान राज्य करते थे। उनकी रानी का नाम चम्पा था। उनके यहां कोई संतान नहीं थी, इसलिए दोनों पति-पत्नी सदा चिन्ता और शोक में रहते थे। इसी शोक में एक दिन राजा राजा सुकेतुमान वन में चले गये। जब राजा को प्यास लगी तो वे एक सरोवर के निकट पहुंचे। वहां बहुत से मुनि वेदपाठ कर रहे थे। राजा ने उन सभी मुनियों को वंदना की।
प्रसन्न होकर मुनियों ने राजा से वरदान मांगने को कहा। मुनि बोले कि पौष मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी को पुत्रदा एकदाशी कहते हैं। उस दिन व्रत रखने से योग्य संतान की प्राप्ति होती है। तुम भी वही व्रत करो। ऋषियों के कहने पर राजा ने पुत्रदा एकादशी का व्रत किया। कुछ ही दिनों बाद रानी चम्पा ने गर्भधारण किया। उचित समय आने पर रानी ने एक तेजस्वी पुत्र को जन्म दिया, जिसने अपने गुणों से पिता को संतुष्ट किया तथा न्यायपूर्वक शासन किया।

- In the morning, husband and wife jointly worship Shri Krishna.
- Offer them yellow fruits, yellow flowers, tulsi dal and panchamrit.
After this, chant the progeny Gopal Mantra.
- After chanting the mantra, husband and wife jointly receive the offerings.
- It will be better if you keep the fast on this day and follow the procedures.
- Offer Panchamrit to Lord Krishna on Ekadashi.
- Also offer a basil garland.
- Chant the following mantra 108 times - "Om Krishnaay Namah"
- Take the offerings of Panchamrit.

On the day of Ekadashi, take bath in the morning and worship Lord Vishnu.
It is considered auspicious to donate lamps on Ekadashi.

On the day of Dwadashi, after feeding Brahmins and receiving their blessings, they should eat themselves.
- On the day of Dwadashi, the fast should be eaten as satvic food.

In earlier times, King Suketuman ruled in Bhadravatipuri. His queen's name was Champa. They had no children here, so both husband and wife always lived in worry and mourning. In this mourning, one day King Raja Suketuman went to the forest. When the king felt thirsty, he reached near a lake. Many sages were performing Vedpath there. The king worshiped all those sages.
Pleased, the monks asked the king to ask for a boon. Muni said that Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Pausha month is called Putrada Ekadashi. Fasting on that day leads to the attainment of worthy children. You too do the same fast. At the behest of the sages, the king fasted for Putrada Ekadashi. Rani Champa conceived a few days later. In due time, the queen gave birth to a stunning son, who satisfied the father with his qualities and ruled justly.
